Innovation and intellectual assets

Intellectual assets are all the ideas, systems, processes and intellectual property that are used to create products and services for sale. They have considerable value in their own right, are weightless, infinitely scalable and many can be monetised. Sadly, in New Zealand high value intellectual assets are often embedded in low value commodity products.
